New year, new adventures!

With the leftovers gone and the tinsel packed away, it’s time to start looking forward to the adventures that 2023 has in store for us! But first, a review on what was a fantastic year of boating here at Boat Club Trafalgar…

Stand-up paddleboards (SUP) new to the club

Person on a SUPLast summer we were extremely happy to share the news that SUP’s are now available to hire by simply adding them on to your boat reservations! You can now request SUP’s at the point of your boat booking, either through the APP or by phone. Upon arrival here at Trafalgar Wharf, you will find the Paddleboard and everything else you need ready and waiting on the boat for you. Simple.

For those looking to try paddle boarding for the first time or to improve their SUP skills, keep an eye out in the calendar as we will be planning SUP training courses through 2023.

Updates to the fleet

2022 saw the addition of Hera and Mida to our now 11 strong fleet. Hera, our brand-new Quicksilver Pilothouse has proven to be a firm family favourite in both our Bronze and Platinum membership plans with Mida, our 6.8m Ballistic RIB taking over as one of our most booked boats, with everyone enjoying the ultimate Ballistic Dry ride.

Whilst it was sad to see Eos and Selene leave the fleet last year, they pave the way for some exciting additions and upgrades coming in 2023 which we can’t wait to share with you all! Watch this space.

Guided trips get the weekends and evening treatment…

To help all our members get the most out of guided trips, new weekends dates were added to the calendar – as well as afternoon trips during the summer months to enjoy those longer golden hours afloat. From drinks on the terrace at Seaview to a Friday night curry at Southsea Marina, the evening trips proved to be a big hit and we look forward to planning many more throughout 2023.

Also new for 2023 expect Fish & Chips in Ryde, picnics in Newtown Creek and SUP’s at Priory Bay among other new and exciting adventures for our members to enjoy as a group. Check out the calendar.

Not a member yet?

Our boat club concept is based on boat sharing, also known as ‘membership boating’.

Quite simply, it’s a club where the fleet of boats are available for use by its members as often as they like and the members don’t have to own a boat. They just pay one, simple monthly amount and no joining fee.

Why not get in touch for a free Boat Club taster session?

We’ll jump aboard one of the fleet boats and head out for some sea air, answering any questions you may have about membership boating along the way.
