I’d been contemplating buying a boat for some time before I came across Boat Club Trafalgar at the 2016 Southampton Boat Show. It quickly became apparent that it would offer me the perfect solution – access to a whole range of exciting new boats, that I could otherwise not have enjoyed; but without any of the responsibilities and many of the costs, of boat ownership. As a relative newcomer to powerboating, the inclusive training provided upon joining was both great fun and confidence inspiring. It was also supplemented with a thorough induction specific to each boat in the fleet. The process couldn’t be simpler – choose your boat for the day and book it online or via the App, then just turn up; step on board; enjoy the delights of the Solent; moor up on your return; and go home. It’s a completely hassle-free experience. The Boat Club fleet, the facilities, the equipment and the service provided by the Trafalgar Wharf team, are all absolutely first class. For me, joining Boat Club Trafalgar proved to be a ‘no-brainer’, both from a cost and practicality perspective; and having now experienced the benefits of membership for a few months, I’m even more delighted with my decision. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a cost- effective way to go boating. I’m looking forward to making the most of my membership and spending many more hours afloat with my family and friends.
