LOCKDOWN RULES – now relaxed give you more freedom to enjoy BOAT CLUB
Members of the same household now have more freedom to enjoy your boat club in the UK and you can stay onboard overnight too!
This next step in being freed from lockdown means, as of 12 May 2021, that as well as going boating with either six people or two households, all single households can now take advantage of the longer evenings and extend your boating days to staying overnight.
For many of us who have had to postpone holidays and travel and been stuck at home, going boating in the UK is absolutely the next best thing.
In fact, it’s better. You get the freedom to go boating and visit a wide variety of simply charming waterside destinations and to enjoy their benefits as each one changes throughout our different seasons, tidal states and weather conditions. All without having to travel far, and in a safe, crowd-free, healthy open air environment.
Now that overnight stays are permitted for single households/support bubbles, many of our Solent marinas are opening up too. Food and drink can be served outdoors from local restaurants and cafes, as well as providing a take away service.
Non-essential retail will be open, so if you fancy a wander down the delightful Cowes or Lymington High Street for a spot of retail therapy, you can do that by boat too!
Book into a marina
If you are planning to stay overnight, please check in with the local marinas for their latest visitor berthing details and facilities. We highly recommend booking ahead.
Yarmouth Harbour, Bembridge Harbour, Beaulieu River and Lymington Harbour, as well as many of the commercial marinas, are all taking bookings for overnight stays in accordance with the UK Government, RYA and British Marine regulations.
So why not take a break from the Zoom calls, get on the Boat Club booking app, and book up for your next adventure and some genuine freedom boating with your family?
