New format Boat Club Trafalgar Guided Trips for post lockdown

Our Solent Discovery Guided Trips are always very popular, especially with new members. They are an excellent way to explore the Solent with our expert guide and discover the top cruising spots.

Just as soon as we can get back afloat, we’ll have some new format Guided Trips for the ‘post-lock down’ period.  To keep you safe and well we will tweak how the trips are organised and run and where we’ll go.  

You’ll be able to  arrive and go straight to your boat, with no need for any direct interaction too. Here’s an overview of some of the things we’ll be introducing:

Pre-trip preparation:

• briefings will be online & via email, rather than needing to meet person
• your boats will be pre-sanitised and pre-checked ready for you
• life jackets, boat keys etc will be provided on the boat – no need to pick them up

Where we’ll go:

• we’ll pick the best bays, beaches and rivers, where we can anchor up
• have picnics on board or pop ashore for beach walks and explore
• our lead boat Instructor will have a designated VHF group chat channel

Post trip:

• a key box will be available to drop off keys after boating
• simply leave everything else on board, such as life jackets

The boats will be lifted by our large fork lifts so they are not handled, then washed, santitised and stored out of reach in our indoor Drystack.
