Colwell Bay is one of the most picturesque beaches on the Isle of Wight, with panoramic views of the Solent, Hurst Castle and Fort Albert, a Victorian gun tower on the Island shore.
The Bay is easily accessible by boat, with gentle shelving shingle and sand, making it ideal for anchoring and swimming from the beach.
We’ll visit The Hut, a bistro restaurant for lunch which will send out their boat to collect you from anchor. You can explore the beach hut shops and the beach before we return to Trafalgar.
Set on the edge of the New Forest, Lymington is a major south coast centre of boating. The beautiful river estuary is packed with sailboats, moorings, marinas and private berths.
The harbour is easily accessible, with deep water access at all states of tide. We’ll berth at Lymington Yacht Haven, a short walk from the charming town centre and the two yacht clubs, the Royal Lymington YC and Lymington Town SC.
